The National Research, Extension, Development, and Innovation (REDI) Congress is an annual event hosted by the Romblon State University (RSU) through its REDI Office. It serves as a national platform that brings together scholars, researchers, extensionists, and professionals across the Philippines to share their work, exchange ideas, and collaborate on advancing the frontiers of knowledge in their respective fields.
The 2nd National REDI Congress was a resounding success, showcasing research and extension presentations from the three major islands of the Philippines: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Additionally, the Congress featured a notable plenary talk on the Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in research and development, delivered by Dr. Elmer Mojica, a distinguished Professor from PACE University, New York.
Building on this momentum, the 3rd National REDI Congress will focus on the theme: "REDIvolution: Human and AI Synergies for a Gender-Responsive Philippines." This theme reflects the growing importance of integrating human expertise with AI and other advanced technologies to address pressing societal challenges, including gender inequality. The Congress will explore how AI can be leveraged to support gender-responsive policies, research, and extension work, contributing to a more inclusive and equitable society.
