ASK about our Mentor Program...
Born and Raised in Edmond, Oklahoma ....
Trained under some of the oldest foundation trainers in reining, team roping and dressage.
Amanda is an AQHA Wold Dressage Stakes Bronze Champion.
Amanda teaches her students with a dressage foundation. Working on connection and communication between horse and rider.
Teaching how to "Feel" is not what most trainers are doing these days. As a trainer for the horse and instructor for the rider we have to know "How" to ask the horse in the way they understand. Amanda teaches biomechanics while working allowing the rider to understand the "Why" that is asked the way it is asked.
Along with riding, Amanda and her right-hand ladies teach husbandry such as nutrition, grooming, and barn care. Building the foundation of responsibility and respect. Absolutely she believes in the old fashion ways of teaching things as simple as "Yes Ma'am" and using the word "Yes " when we speak to adults or others.
While we are not like other barns, there is no other barn like ours.
Before Mercy became a Horsewoman, she was an accomplished Pointe dancer. She quickly moved up and began dancing at high level at OKC Dance Centre.
Awarded several awards for her dancing. She was also one of the youngest members of Arrows International Dance Team and traveled throughout the United States dancing with them for several years. Mercy always pushed herself to high levels of dance technique and has a strong sense of self discipline that always pushed her to the next level.
A love for horses her entire life; Mercy finds the most peace when she is on her horse out on a tailride or in the barn surrounded by horses. - Mercy's Momma Brandi
Along with being our Manager and Lead Mentor, Mercy's leadership skills allow for her instructing skills to really shine.
Mercy has exceptional leadership skills and is able to stay calm under pressure which creates a sense of peace for everyone around her whether it be animals, people or both. She continues to grow in her management skills as she can multitask and see the bigger picture and inspire others to not give up on that.
Mercy has strong family values that come from deep roots, and she is quick to take care of those she loves. She is direct and to the point and does it all with a smile that makes everyone feel heard and seen. Mercy loves bravely and has refused to let hard chapters stop her from seeing beauty around her and this shines from deep within. and brings joy to everyone she meets.
Having trained under Amanda for many years, she is right in line to be one of the top instructors for Beginner to Intermediate riders.
