3D Printing of SHCC/ECC

Fiber reinforced, strain hardening cementitious composite (SHCC) or engineered cementitious composite (ECC) is regarded as bendable concrete with high ductility.

3DP team at HKU successfully uses 3D printing technology to achieve high ductility of SHCC using lower volume fraction of fibers than conventionally casted samples.
