H E L L O

My name is Carol. I have been an Art Director and Graphic Artist (and truth be told, a poser Copywriter) for quite some time. I have lived and worked in Los Angeles and Denver and now call the beautiful Central Coast of California home.

During my career, I have been given the good fortune to work on a vast array of assignments; from large national clients to small start ups and everything imaginable in between. 

In college, I was a fine arts major that fell in love with advertising somewhere along the way. As a child, I was exposed to the golden years of advertising through my family association with Lawry's Foods. The Lawry's "Fanciful L" was created by Saul Bass. (worth the search if you don't know the name). There was nothing quite like a Saul Bass bear hug.

I believe that my fine arts background combined with my passion for well thought out, beautiful and engaging design is the platform that motivates me to create work that hopefully causes one to pause and appreciate. There is so much clutter and mediocrity in the market today and I choose not to contribute to all of that chaos.

My creative journey has given me the opportunity to work along side some of the smartest, most creative, motivated, daring and collaborative individuals and teams. From Creative Directors, Copywriters, Photographers to Print Production wizards, there are so many learnings that I incorporate into the way I approach my work. 

It has been a wonderful career path. A path that has included a few prestigious awards along the way. The accolades are certainly nice but the real joy comes from the creative process as anyone who's ever picked up a camera, a pencil, a paintbrush or a hunk of clay knows. 

Those that know me will tell you emphatically how "sweet" I am.

I dispute that always (perhaps with a few colorful expletives). 

I am honest.

I am tenacious.

I am feisty.

I am passionate,

I enjoy a good laugh,

even at my own expense.

Good Design is timeless.                       

I like to think I am too.
