The Scientific Department is a civil department engaged in research. Site-32 has learned of various anomalies' abilities, containment strategies, and more through the Scientific Department. Without the Scientific Department's contributions, the Foundation could not function.

The Specialized Research Team is a specialized division within the Scientific Department, Scientific Department, consisting of the most dedicated and loyal researchers the foundation has to offer. Members of the Specialized Research Team are given maximum testing clearance, and as such are held to a very high standard. The Specialized Research Team is responsible for the early testing and classifications of all anomalies onsite.
