Install flush mount 18W LED lights in place of the stock headlights. You will loose the high/low beam feature but these take less power than the OEM lights and are much brighter. On OEM headlight harness use green for ground and white for low beams.
Install a 6" LED light bar onto the handlebars. The top of the steering stem makes for a good place to bolt the light on. Wire the light to a toggle switch or add a relay and have it come on with the high beams by tapping into the blue wire in the OEM headlight harness.
An often overlooked step in waterproofing your ATV . Use dielectric grease on ALL electrical connections including the spark plug wire to keep water out of the connections and keep your ATV running in "damp" conditions.
Replace that funky factory 12V plug setup with the more modern and commonly found 12V socket. These can be found at any automotive store. Cut the wires off the factory piece, remove the bracket, attach the new 12V socket and find somewhere to put it. On my own machine I lengthened the wires and put the socket on the left side of the fender near the handlebars, similar to the factory location of the 12V socket on a 350 Rancher.
