2027 a century of 2nd chester

As 2nd Chester le Street Scout Group celebrates its 100th birthday in 2027 the group continues to thrive. It has overcome the adversity of becoming homeless, it's survived the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic and returned to scouting stronger. The group is built on a century of royal visits, summer camps, gang shows, competition wins, badges earned, King & Queen Scout Awards and a varied and interactive program that has been for the benefit of the young people of Chester le Street over the last 100 years.

Special thanks to every leader, volunteer, parent, helper, service team member, trustee and most importantly every Beaver, Cub, Scout, Explorer and Venture who has walked through the doors of Carver House or Waldridge Village Hall over the last century. You’ve all made the last 100 years possible; you are what makes 2nd Chester special and lay the foundation for the future.

Happy Birthday 2nd Chester. Here's to 2127, it's only a century away…..
