The "2D Quantum Matter" Summer School will be hosted by the IMT School of Advanced Studies of Lucca, and the site is located about 20km from the city of Pisa. Lectures will be given in the 120-seat conference hall at IMT, which is embedded in the Complesso San Francesco, an old monastery that serves as the main site of IMT. The site is just inside the citywalls of Lucca and it can be reached either from the main entrance on Piazza San Francesco, or from the Giardino degli Osservanti, which is on top of a large underground parking lot.

IMT is located in Lucca, a charming and historic city in Tuscany, known for its walkable medieval walls, Renaissance architecture, and rich cultural heritage, including many churches, palaces, and squares, as well as bustling marketplaces.

How to reach the school site

If you happen to reach Lucca by car, consider there are many parking lots around the city walls. In addition, consider IMT is located almost on top of the underground paking lot Parcheggio Mazzini.
