We gave a presentation and workshop to a group of kids from the Boys and Girls Club in Arecibo. We talked about the robotics program, VEX, the game and made a demonstration with our robot.
This is the firs of many workshops to help the Boys and Girls Clubs in Arecibo to build their first team.
We talked about the parts, functions and explained the engineering notebook. We will be coming back to provide building and programming workshops.

The Interamerican University in Arecibo invited more than 100 High School students to a conversation with NASA Engineers to promote STEM. Teams 2316 A and C were invited to present their robots and talk about their participation in the VEX Worlds 2018.
During this activity they also presented their work to the NASA Engineers who participated in the activity and had a conversation about their interests.

Puertorican Astronaut, Joseph Acabá, participated in an activity organized by PRIOR to promote STEM among students, through his experiences in the International Space Station.
Teams 2316 A and C had the opportunity to meet the astronaut!
We also presented our robots and explained VEX competition to the students who participated in the activity.

Teams 2316 A and C were invited to the Arecibo Urban market to promote robotics and to receive a recognition for our participation in the VEX Worlds 2018. We were recognized by the Major, Carlos Molina.
