Team Building

In this soft skill activity, you will lead teams of students through a timed memory challenge.

Materials:

• Preset arrangement of large dominos

• Cover for arrangement (to hide from view of students)

• Additional sets of large dominos

• Timer (recommended: volunteer phone or watch)

Activity flow:

• Invite students to form teams of 2-4.

• Explain to students that they will be using the dominos to recreate the covered arrangement, from memory, within a set time period.

• Uncover the arrangement and allow students to look at it for 30 seconds.

• Recover the arrangement and start your timer as students work together to build a copy of the original arrangement.

• Once time is called, uncover the arrangement and allow students to compare.

• Thank them for their participation.

• Comfortable shoes.

• Timer (cell phone, watch, etc.).

• Excitement and enthusiasm!
