HAPPY NEW YEAR!
The LAMS Glee Club Program opened at the Louis Armstrong Middle School April 17th, 2019, by our founder Luis Riveron. When he was in the sixth-grade, he wasn't able to take a music class due to an extra academic help class. As a music-lover, he was extremely disappointed by this news. So, he made a plan to start this very glee club, where he would finally be able to take his passion of music and share it with others. He took it to the principal, and she had to agree. Now, the little sixth grade boy is older and currently attends the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts studying voice, the club later became a program at LAMS, and we are sharing our music with all of you.
The LAMS Glee Club is located at the Louis Armstrong Middle School in East Elmhurst, Queens New York. The school opened in the year 1979 in collaboration with Queens College. All of our students attend LAMS, therefore they can participate in the Glee Club. This school has grades 5 through 8. For information about the school, please click here.
