My teaching philosophy
My approach to teaching is to teach in way that is going to encourage most of the learners to keep on going even though they feel hopeless. I am going to do this by providing support and guidance to them because I know that when learners reach the adolescent stage, most of them tend to feel lost, and that's where they want someone who is going to help them by guiding and leading them on their adolescent years. This is going to help them in overcoming the challenges that they will be facing during those years because I'm going to be a teacher that is going to be open to talk to them at all times. The reason why this will be my approach to teaching is that when teenagers reach the adolescent stage, they tend to confide in their friends as they think that they are the only people that seem to understand them, as most of their teachers and parents think that they're out of order, so I want to show them that it isn't that way.
The main reason why I want to create hope to the hopeless is that, many learners may think that just because they come from families with poor backgrounds then it's pointless for them to go to school, since they'll just obtain their National Senior Certificate and stay at home due to financial problems. Hence, I want to set an example for them. I want to let them know that if a girl from a poor background like me raised by an unemployed single mother was able to pass and get to graduate at one of the best universities in this country while coming from a family with no graduates then it also can be possible for them as long as they continue working hard.
