Item C asks you to find an assigned JOURNAL ARTICLE. Remember to look at the correct column.
Step #1: Journal Title
Take a good look at the citation you were given. You are given an incomplete citation, but we still have all the information necessary to track down your specific article. The first step is to locate the journal.
J. Chem. Educ. is the title of the journal.
2012 is the year the article was published.
89 is the volume number of the journal.
487 is the first page of the article.
Step #2: Journal Search
Now, head over to our Journal Search. Enter the journal title, click on the link for additional details, and look for the "View Online" section. Once there, choose the American Chemical Society Journals link.
Step #3: Find Correct Issue
Look at your citation and use that information to infer which issue you need. Select the correct decade and year from the ribbon on the top of the page, then find the correct page number range. Click and open the appropriate issue.
Step #4: Find the article and download a PDF.
Once you're in the correct issue, navigate to the page number you were given. You can use ctrl + f with your page number to search easily. This is your assigned article.
Click on the title to go to the article. On this page, click on the download button. Your goal here is to get the front page of that article to attach to your report.
