Plane: The closest major airport to the Rancho Bernardo Inn is the San Diego Airport (SAN), located 35 minutes away.
Ground Transportation Options: The primary transportation options between San Diego International Airport (SAN) and the Rancho Bernardo Inn include rideshares, private car services, rental cars, and public transit. The route spans roughly 25 to 27 miles along the I-15 North corridor, taking about 25 to 35 minutes off-peak, but stretching up to an hour or more during heavy morning and evening commute windows.
Driving directions to the hotel from the San Diego Airport:
Take Harbor Drive South (toward downtown) and turn left at Grape Street.
Go east to the top of the hill then take Interstate 5 South.
Stay in the right lane and follow 163 North toward Escondido.
Take the Rancho Bernardo Road exit east to Pomerado Road (5th light).
Turn left at Pomerado Road.
Turn left at Greens East Road (1st light).
Follow signs from there.
Parking: The self parking fee has been reduced to $10.00 per night for AFT guests.
