Public Transportation

• By Air (Taoyuan International Airport) Take the Taoyuan Airport MRT to HSR Taoyuan Station, then transfer to city bus 172 or 173 to reach NCU directly.

• By Train (TRA) Alight at TRA Zhongli Station. Exit via the Front Station and transfer to a city bus or taxi (approx. 20–30 minute ride) to reach the campus. Please refer to the "City Bus" section below for boarding details.

• By High Speed Rail (HSR) Alight at HSR Taoyuan Station. From Bus Platform 8, take city bus 172 or 173 directly to NCU (buses run approximately every 30 minutes; the journey takes 15–20 minutes).

  • Alternatives: You may also take a bus toward downtown Zhongli (and transfer to a campus-bound bus at the main bus terminal), take a taxi, or drive.

  • 172 & 173 Routes: These buses commute between NCU and HSR Taoyuan Station. Please check the bus companies' official announcements for the latest schedules and fares.

  • To Downtown Zhongli: To travel from HSR Taoyuan Station to the Zhongli Bus Terminal, please take the HSR Shuttle Bus (Route 170) or bus routes 171 or 5089.

  • Driving from HSR Station: Exit via Gaotie Nan Road and follow Route 31 (under the HSR elevated tracks). Turn left onto Zhongzheng Road (County Road 112), then turn right onto Zhongda Road to reach the campus (15–20 minute drive).

• City Bus Routes 132 and 133 operate between downtown Zhongli and NCU (approx. 20–30 minute ride).

  • On-Campus Stops: Front Gate (Guard House), NCU Lake, Yi-ren Hall, Back Gate, and Viewing Deck.

  • Payment: Cash (exact change) or IC cards (EasyCard, iPass, etc.). Please tap your card both when boarding and alighting.

  • Fares: Single-zone fare; Adult: NT$18 / Concession: NT$9.

• Freeway Bus There are two main boarding locations and service centers in Zhongli. However, since service points or joint-operation offices vary by carrier, please verify details before traveling. Some services on Freeway Bus Route 9025 detour to serve our campus; please refer to the Route 9025 map and timetable. The journey takes approximately 30–40 minutes.

By Car

• National Highway 1 (Sun Yat-sen Freeway) Take the Zhongli Interchange (62km) exit and head toward Xinwu. Follow Minzu Road, turn right onto Sanmin Road, left onto Zhongzheng Road, and finally left onto Zhongda Road to reach the NCU Front Gate. (Approx. 5–10 minute drive).

• National Highway 3 (Formosa Freeway) Take the Daxi Interchange (62km) exit and head toward Zhongli. Transition onto the Tai 66 Expressway (toward Guanyin), then merge onto National Highway 1 (Northbound). Exit at the Zhongli Interchange (62km) and follow the directions for National Highway 1 listed above. (Approx. 20 minute drive).
