Visa Information for International Conference Participants
International delegates planning to attend the TELTA 7th Annual Conference on English Language Teaching (June 28-29, 2026, in Sokoine University of Agricultrure - Morogoro, Tanzania) will require a visa to enter the United Republic of Tanzania.
What is a Visa?
A visa is an official authorization granted to foreign visitors permitting entry into Tanzania for purposes including tourism, business, conferences, and other activities recognized under Tanzanian law.
Important Information for Conference Attendees:
International participants must obtain a valid visa before traveling to Tanzania for the conference
Download the complete Visa Application Guidelines for detailed requirements and procedures
Visa applications should clearly indicate "conference attendance" as the purpose of visit
Please Note:
Holding a valid visa does not automatically guarantee entry into Tanzania. Immigration Officers at ports of entry retain the authority to deny admission if:
The visa holder cannot satisfy standard immigration entry requirements
The officer determines that the individual's presence in Tanzania would be contrary to national interests
Recommendations:
Apply for your visa well in advance of the conference dates (June 28-29, 2026)
Carry supporting documentation, including your conference registration confirmation and invitation letter from TELTA
Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay
For visa-related inquiries, please consult the official Tanzanian immigration resources or contact your nearest Tanzanian embassy or consulate. https://www.immigration.go.tz/index.php/visa-and-pass-information
