The 7th Annual Conference on English Language Teaching
The Tanzanian English Language Teachers' Association (TELTA) is pleased to invite proposals for its 7th Annual TELTA Conference, scheduled on June 27-28, 2026 in Morogoro.

Call for Proposals
Proposals addressing other pertinent ELT issues that contribute to the advancement of English language teaching in Tanzania are also encouraged.
We welcome submissions that explore the main conference theme or any of the following sub-themes:

Workshop (45 minutes: 40-minute session + 5-minute Q & A)
Facilitate hands-on, interactive activities that participants can immediately apply in their classrooms.
Panel Discussion (90 minutes: 80-minute discussion + 10-minute Q & A, 3-5 panelists)
Engage multiple experts in examining a conference theme or current ELT issue from various perspectives, exploring both theoretical foundations and practical applications.
Teaching Tips (15 minutes: 10-minute presentation + 5-minute Q & A)
Demonstrate practical, classroom-ready teaching strategies (storytelling excluded from this format).
Storytelling (15 minutes: 10-minute narrative + 5-minute Q & A)
Share compelling stories with clear pedagogical value and practical classroom implications.
PechaKucha (20 minutes + minutes Q & A) Fast-paced storytelling format that uses a 20x20 structure: 20 slides shown for 20 seconds each, with slides auto-advancing. The entire presentation lasts exactly 6 minutes and 40 seconds.
Submission Guidelines
All proposals must be submitted through the official submission link, submit your proposal here. Email submissions will not be accepted.
Format Requirements:
Title: Maximum 10 words (capitalize major words only)
Abstract: Maximum 50 words
Session Description: Maximum 250 words
Presenter Biography: Maximum 40 words
References: APA 7th edition format
Important Notes:
Proposals exceeding word limits will be automatically disqualified.
TELTA cannot provide financial support for conference attendance; presenters must secure their own funding or self-fund their participation.
