Melissa Walker MSN, ARNP has been a member of the Iowa School Nurse Organization and the National Association of School Nurses since 2013 and a previous past-president of the National Association of State School Nurse Consultants. She is employed at the Iowa Department of Education. Her role is an Administrative Consultant of School Health and School Nursing Services. She covers 5 program areas: School Nursing/Health Services, Employee Health, Environmental Health, Complex Disease Management, and Health Screening/Health Promotion. She is also assisting as an interim for the school-based Medicaid role and is part of the Iowa Medicaid School Based Services Team to address the CMS’s Delivering Service in School-based Settings: A Comprehensive Guide to Medicaid Services and Administrative Claiming released last year.
Holly Kramer has been a Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for 16 years with at least 12 years of Pediatric Endocrinology experience. Holly's clinical areas of interest are Gender Dysphoria/Transgender Youth Care, Prader Willi Syndrome, Diabetes/Obesity, Thyroid, Puberty and Growth Disorders. She received her Master’s degree at the University of Iowa and is currently working with Blank Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Richelle M. Williams, is an Associate Professor at Drake University in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Her research focuses on pediatric sport related concussion and youth sports safety initiatives. She is a founding member and vice chair of the Iowa Sports Medicine Advisory Committee.
Dr. Sarah Bancroft joined McFarland Clinic and became one of the Iowa State University team physicians in July 2017. Prior to that she was a part of Indiana University at La Porte Orthopedics and Sports Medicine department as the director of the Sports Medicine program.
She completed residency and is board certified in Family Medicine with a fellowship in sports medicine. And she is a fellow of the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine and currently practices in Ames, IA.
Dr. Bancroft has just completed a term as chairperson for the Iowa Sports Medicine Advisory Committee and is the co-chair of the Iowa Medical Society sports medicine sub-committee. She sees athletes of all ages in her practice and has done extensive training and teaching throughout her career in the management of sports related concussions.
Elizabeth Rudolph is an attorney and nurse who founded JurexNurse.com, a company that trains nurses to becertified as Professional Legal Nurse Consultants. Elizabeth obtained her bachelor’s in nursing, master’s in nursing,and law degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. She has been a nursing faculty member, and she haspracticed law for many years in Memphis, TN.
A nationally known speaker and author on legal issues in nursing, Elizabeth has provided presentations at over two thousand conferences, including at the National Association of School Nurses, at many state school nurse associations, and at numerous school districts for nurses professional development.
Elizabeth has authored numerous publications on legal and nursing issues, many of which are available in books, courses, and online. In addition, Elizabeth has been featured in network television programming.Elizabeth lives in Memphis, TN with her husband and four sons.
Kathleen O'Connor, LMHC, is the founder of Ailm Therapy, an outpatient therapy practice serving Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin. Kathleen specializes in the treatment of eating disorders in adolescent and adult populations. She is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and a board member of the Eating Disorder Coalition of Iowa.
Dr. Noble is the medical director of the Anna Blank Developmental Center and staff physician at Woodward Resource Center, specializing in the care of children and adults with special healthcare needs. Dr. Noble completed pediatric residency training at Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines, and went on to complete fellowship training in both Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics and Clinical Genetics at the University of Iowa. He has conducted research on various genetic disorders, focusing on genotype-phenotype correlations and care coordination. Dr. Apoorva Nanagiri specializes in pediatric gastroenterology at MercyOne Waukee Pediatrics Care and MercyOne Des Moines Pediatrics Gastroenterology Care. Dr. Nanagiri received her medical degree from Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India, and completed residency at Nassau University Medical Center in Long Island, New York and her fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology at Westchester Medical Center in Westchester, New York, respectively. Dr. Nanagiri was the recipient of the Beth Seaton Outstanding Resident of the Year Award for three consecutive years during her residency.
