This workshop provides an historical overview of the start of the early church and the earliest Christian missionary movement based on accounts of the early church and Paul’s missionary journeys in Acts. We'll also explore the implications and lessons from the early church on how Christians today should live out their faith and do church.

Has science made belief in God obsolete?
With breakthroughs from DNA to synthetic biology, it might seem like science has all the answers. But does it? This workshop explores the limits of scientific explanation and argues that faith and science are not enemies—but partners in understanding reality.

How can Christians believe that Jesus came back to life after his death on the cross? We'll cover the historical evidence that surrounds Jesus' resurrection, and ask you to come to your own conclusion!
Hui Lu
Associated Professor @ GWU
Hui is a Neuroscience professor at School of Medicine and Health Sciences at The George Washington University. She grew up in China, deeply shaped by traditional culture and education. It wasn’t until she came to the United States that she became a Christian. After that, she began reflecting on the relationship between Chinese culture and the Christian faith—and was surprised to find many meaningful connections. In this workshop, she will share how the wisdom of ancient Chinese thought helped guide her toward a deeper understanding of God’s creation and His purpose.
Sharon Kim
Int'l Ministry Director @ Acts2 Network

The next most important decision you will make in your life after becoming a Christian is who you will marry. How can you build principles in your life to prepare for a successful marriage? Around 42% of all marriages in America end in divorce and there were over 7.2 million people divorced in China in 2023, highlighting the challenges of building a life as husband and wife. If God is our Creator and the One who designed marriage, then doesn't it make sense to look to the One who originally designed it to see how it should work? In this workshop, we will explore Biblical principles behind what makes a healthy marriage.
Angela Chen
Mentor @ UCLA & USC

Grad school was supposed to be where everything came together—but for many, it’s where things start to fall apart.
