About

WHAT:

• A Greater Toronto Chess League & Willowdale Chess Club event.

• Single Round-Robin tournament of TEAMS of 4 or more players

  • • Maximum 10 teams and 9 rounds.

    • CFC-rated only (T/C is too fast for FIDE-rating)

• Time Control:  60 mins + 10 secs/move.

• Equipment:  

  • Boards provided by Willowdale Chess Club

  • Bring clocks.  Each team should bring at least two clocks

• Important:  Read the RULES.

WHO:

• Maximum 10 teams may register.

• Teams from any GTCL club, organization, or group.

• Teams consist of at least 4 players and any number of substitute players.

• Players must have CFC memberships that expire on or after March 10, 2026.

WHEN:

• TIME:  Rounds start at 6:30 pm on Tuesdays (1 round per week)

  • • Clocks start at 6:30pm sharp. 

    • Games are defaulted after 30 minutes.

    • Please exit the building by 9pm (closing time)

• DATES:  maximum 9 weeks (depending on # of teams):

  • • January 13, 20, 27

    • February 3, 10, 17, 24

    • March 3, 10

• $0.00  (GTCL will pay for all the rating fees and prizes)
