All students of the Fairbanks Northstar Borough School District must fill out a permission slip signed by their guardian and attach it to their Black History Contest Entry. Students outside of the district are not required to fill out a permission slip for entry, however make sure to include the student's name, grade, and contact information such as phone or email.
All entries are due by Friday April 10th, 2026. Entries can be:
Turned in to your teacher
Dropped off directly to Teaching and Learning on the second floor of downtown district building at 520 5th Ave.
Electronic entries such as essays and digital art can be sent via email to FairbanksNAACP@gmail.com.
