Kate Dunn holds a Masters degree in Sociology from Western University and has nearly two decades of teaching experience at the post-secondary level. In 2022, Kate furthered their expertise by becoming UM certified. Her written work has been featured in the London School of Economics and Political Science, Gender & Society, Contemporary Sociology, and the Canadian Journal of Sociology. A strong advocate for mental health and well-being, Kate is also the founder of Rooted in Wellness Canada, an online platform committed to sharing the principles of Positive Psychology and enhancing and fostering a culture of positive mental health within the community in which she lives and works: https://www.rootedinwellnesscanada.ca/
Alison Dunn is a Professor, Curriculum & Program Quality Consultant in the Centre for Teaching and Learning Innovation (CTLI) at Mohawk College. She joined CTLI in 2022 after five years as a Professor and Program Coordinator in the PreMedia and Journalism programs at Mohawk College and nine-years as a partial load faculty at colleges in Southern Ontario.
In her work, Alison is responsible for facilitating program review, new program development, curriculum redesign, and faculty development. She was team lead for Mohawk College’s participation in the American Association of Colleges and Universities’ Institute for Artificial Intelligence, Pedagogy, and the Curriculum, working with the team to create an AI Info Hub to help faculty learn more about the challenges and opportunities associated with Artificial Intelligence.
Alison has a Master of Education degree from the University of Toronto’s Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, as well as Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science from Queen’s University and Journalism from Toronto Metropolitan University.
