Through the DP World Tour’s Golf for Good initiative, sustainability activities and initiatives will be visible across the site this year at Trump International Golf Club Doonbeg. Golf for Good is the DP World Tour’s commitment to being environmentally and socially sustainable, ensuring we have a positive long-term impact on the courses, countries and the communities we visit. Its key projects are the Green Drive sustainability programme, increased community engagement, and running the Golf Futures programme which encourages a new generation to work in golf.
With community and sustainability in mind, the DPWT team will look to action initiatives such as a beach clean, exclusively solar powered compounds on site and charity donations at our bar and food outlets. Food sourced locally has been a focal point throughout the Amgen Irish Open, with our official catering company Aramark sourcing food from within a 50-mile radius of each course we visit. Adoption of the ‘Deposit Return Scheme’ which is national legislation around recycling of single use plastic bottles, has been in place since 2025 and money raised is donated to our title charity, Make A Wish Ireland.
