Anthony Thomas, an alumnus of the Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind, has 17 years of experience in education, 15 of those years at CSDB. He holds a B.A. in Communication from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs and an M.A. in Special Education from the University of Northern Colorado. Passionate about financial literacy, Anthony promotes a zero-debt, common-sense approach to personal finance for individuals at all income levels. He blends research-based strategies with real-life experience to guide others toward financial well-being. In addition to his work in education, Anthony consults with families and individuals seeking to take control of their finances. Outside of work, he enjoys quality time with his family and lives by the belief that the key to achieving your goals is helping others achieve theirs.

In Student Life, you put your heart and soul into preparing students to be successful and ready for the real world ahead. But are you prepared for the world outside of Student Life financially? Just like traveling on an airplane, we are instructed to first put on our own oxygen mask before assisting children in an emergency. In this course we will get fresh oxygen flowing, while we will learn the 3-bucket strategy for saving money, and how to prepare for future expenses, including retirement.
