Welcome to Boston!
The "T" (MBTA Subway)
For just $2.40, you can take Boston's public transit system, known as the "T," from the airport to Northeastern University. This is often the most efficient way to travel, as it avoids street traffic. A taxi or ride-sharing service will likely not save you any time and will cost significantly more. We would only recommend a car service in the rare event of severe subway delays.
Your total ground transportation costs for your entire trip, including travel to and from MIT and Merck, could be as low as ~$15. Please note that both MIT and Merck are also within walking distance.
The Logan Express
Another excellent choice is the Logan Express bus service. The trip from the airport to the Back Bay neighborhood is free of charge. The bus conveniently stops at the Prudential Center, which is connected to the Sheraton, the location of our conference housing.
For your return trip to the airport, the fare is only $3.00. As an added benefit, purchasing a Logan Express ticket grants you Priority Access at the airport security checkpoint, a great perk to save you time on your departure.
You can find more information and purchase tickets online at the Logan Express website.
