1967年生まれ。1989年大学の海外農業研修制度を通してアイオワ州の酪農家で実習中、寝室の本棚に日本語の新約聖書を見つけ読み始める。1991年語学留学中にホームステイ先のアメリカ人夫婦の伝道を通してイエス・キリストと出会い受洗（オハイオ州）。2002年Colorado School of Mines（コロラド鉱山大学）環境科学工学科博士課程修了。国連環境計画（UNEP）のアソシエート・エクスパート（フランス）や経済産業省の産業技術総合研究所（茨城県つくば市）で地球環境保全分野の研究に従事したが、2007年40歳で牧師となる決心に導かれ辞職。2009年より韓国の高麗神学校に学びつつ在韓邦人宣教に従事。2013年に日本帰国し、日本キリスト改革派教会に加入。2015年神戸改革派神学校を卒業後、日本キリスト改革派高知教会牧師。日本キリスト改革派教会四国中会より宣教師として派遣され、2022年8月よりウエストミンスター日本人教会牧師。趣味は水辺の生き物や植物を飼育・栽培することだが現在封印中。

家族は、妻（路(る)華(か)）、娘（光(ひかり)）、息子（禱(いのる)）の4人と猫1匹（ウィロ）。

Born in 1967. While participating in an overseas agricultural training program in 1989, he interned at a dairy farm in Iowa, where he discovered a Japanese New Testament on a bookshelf in his bedroom and began reading it. In 1991, during his language studies, he encountered Jesus Christ and was baptized in Ohio through the evangelism of his American host family. He completed his Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines in 2002. He engaged in environmental conservation research as an Associate Expert at the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in France and at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) under Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry in Tsukuba, Ibaraki. However, in 2007, at the age of 40, he felt called to become a pastor and resigned from his position.

From 2009, while studying at Korea Theological Seminary, he was involved in missionary work among the Japanese community in South Korea. In 2013, he returned to Japan and joined the Reformed Church in Japan. After graduating from Kobe Reformed Theological Seminary in 2015, he became the pastor of Kōchi Church, Reformed Church in Japan. He was sent as a missionary by the Shikoku Presbytery of the Reformed Church in Japan and has served as the pastor of Westminster Japanese Church since August 2022.

His hobbies include raising aquatic creatures and cultivating plants, though he has currently put them on hold.

His family consists of his wife, Luka (路華), their daughter, Hikari (光), their son, Inoru (禱), and a cat named Wilo.
