Changhua County Xihu Reform Hospital is a story about an old doctor.
Dr. Yang Weixin, a native of Xihuzhuang Datu, was born in the 42nd year of Meiji (1909). During the schooling stage, he went to Japan to study and was admitted to the Showa Medical College, which is the most difficult school in Japan. In the 8th year of the Showa era (1934 AD), he returned to his hometown of Xihu and opened the Reform Hospital, which became well-known for his superb medical skills.
Reform Hospital opened in 1933. The hospital is located at the intersection of Xihu Middle Street, adjacent to Xihu Elementary School.
Currently, a group of young people are revitalizing the architectural space of the "Restoration Hospital" and passing on the history and culture within it. As for the utilization of building space, "partial division and leasing" is adopted.

In the 107th year of the Republic of China (2018 AD), the young Mr. Cai Junye established the Sugar Town Manufacturing House in the Reform Hospital. It is expected to revitalize old houses and activate the local area (such as culture, agriculture, emerging industries), and is expected to drive local economy and consumption. Combined with social education measures, young people will return to the city, not only to have job opportunities, but also to take care of the elderly and young children, increasing the willingness of young people to return home, and promoting community regeneration and development.

Combined with the community day reading course, we started from Hunan Elementary School and passed through three points: Weixin Hospital, Laozhai Coffee, and Xihu Art Museum. We visited Xihu Middle Street on foot, and arranged small tour guides to explain the history and characteristics of the buildings to each class.
