1. Airport Transportation from Kaohsiung International Airport (KHH):

(1) Kaohsiung Metro from the airport: Inside KHH, follow signs for Metro to Kaohsiung International Airport Station (Red Line, code R4) on B1. Ride northbound (Red Line) and get off at Kaohsiung Main Station (R11). (2) Transfer to Taiwan Railways (TRA) at Kaohsiung Main Station: Follow the “TRA / Taiwan Railways” signs to the mainline railway concourse. Buy a ticket to Tainan Train Station (any northbound train: Local/Chu-Kuang/Tze-Chiang). (3) Walk from Tainan Station to Shangri-La Far Eastern Plaza Hotel: At Tainan Station, exit the Rear (East) Exit. Walk along Dasyue Rd.

2. Airport Transportation from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE):

(1) Taoyuan Airport MRT from TPE Airport: Find the Airport MRT inside the terminal and Follow purple “Airport MRT” signs (Terminal 1 → Station A12, Terminal 2 → Station A13) Ride to “A18 Taoyuan HSR Station”. The Airport MRT directly connects to the HSR Taoyuan hub. (2) Take Taiwan High Speed Rail (THSR) from Taoyuan HSR Station and arrive at Tainan HSR Station. (3) Take Taiwan Railways (TRA)“Shalun Line”from Tainan HSR Station and arrive at Tainan (downtown) Station (4) Walk from Tainan Station to Shangri-La Far Eastern Plaza Hotel: At Tainan Station, exit the Rear (East) Exit. Walk along Dasyue Rd.

3. Driving by National Highway No.1:

Coming from north, exit at Dawan Interchange then follow directions to the Tainan railway station, about 15 minutes driving. Coming from south, exit at Rende Interchange, follow directions to the city center, about 20 minutes driving.

4. By Taxi:

Metered taxis can be found on the ground floor of the international arrival halls. The fare from Kaohsiung International Airport is usually TWD1,500. (1.5-2 hours)

Transportation to Academy Hotel

1. By Taiwan High Speed Rail

Take the Taiwan Railway Chalun Branch Line to Tainan Station. From the station, it's 5 minutes by foot to Academy Hotel.

2. By Taiwan Railway

Exit from Tainan Railway Station rear exit and walk along Dasyue Road, about 5 minutes.

3. By National Highway No.1

Coming from north, exit at Dawan Interchange then follow directions to the Tainan railway station, about 10 minutes driving. Coming from south, exit at Rende Interchange, follow directions to the city center, about 15 minutes driving.

1. Airport Transportation from Kaohsiung International Airport (KHH):

(1) Take the Kaohsiung MRT (Metro) Red Line from R4 Kaohsiung International Airport to R11 Kaohsiung Main Station. (2) Transfer to a TRA train (Taiwan Railways) to Tainan Station. (3) From Tainan Station, walk about 200 m to Hotel Tainan—it’s directly in front of the station on Chenggong Rd.

2. Airport Transportation from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE):

(1) From Terminal 1 (A12) or Terminal 2 (A13), ride the Taoyuan Airport MRT to A18 Taoyuan HSR (High Speed Rail) Station. (2) Take a Taiwan HSR train from Taoyuan to Tainan HSR Station. (3) At Tainan HSR Station, follow the signed corridor to the adjacent TRA Shalun Station and ride the TRA Shalun Line to Tainan TRA Station. (4) From Tainan TRA Station, walk ~3 minutes to Hotel Tainan (it’s directly across the road).
