ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
Bring a puppet character to life with director and puppeteer Seanna Kennedy! Working in the style of visible onstage puppeteers, famously used in the musical Avenue Q as well as many other productions, we will explore puppet concepts and techniques and use them to develop a puppet character. By learning and practicing skills in movement, focus, mouth sync, and finding a voice we will create believable characters full of thoughts, personality and life! Participants are asked to come with a piece of text memorized (a minute or less - monologue, poem, song lyrics etc) to practice these concepts with. Come prepared to learn and play!
