About Us

The NIH Golf League is a 9-hole coed league that meets in the afternoons after work.  The league is open to anyone and always welcomes new members!  You do not have to be affiliated or employed by the NIH and all are welcome to join.

The league reserves tee times between 4-5 p.m. at Needwood Golf Course in Derwood on Tuesdays and 3:45 - 4:45 p.m. at Falls Road Golf Course in Potomac on Thursdays. The league serves as a great social/networking opportunity to meet fellow NIH’ers and friends while improving your golfing skills.

The League consists of the following flights: 

• A-Flight - Handicap 0-9 for 9 holes 

• B-Flight - Handicap 10-20 for 9 holes 

• Non-competitive Flight - No handicaps and open to all

Mixed Scrambles-March/April schedule

The season begins in March with optional rounds of team scrambles - mixing players from all three flights.

League Play:

Interested players need to join the NIH 9-Hole Golf League and then coordinate their preferred monthly playing schedules a couple of weeks in advance with your flight captains, non-competitive coordinator, and the league treasurer.

• Annual cost to join league:  $35 

• Cost Per Round - $27 and additional course cost for cart.

• Pay for rounds - You can pay for rounds in two ways.  You may write a check payable to “NIHGL” and send it to our league treasurer:

Payment must be received prior to play as the league must prepay the courses.  Please do not be late with payment.
