Attending the Symposium

Q: Is the symposium the entire weekend?

A: No, the symposium is only a one-day event on Saturday, September 26th, 2024.

Q: I plan on driving. Are parking permits available for purchase?

A: No, there will be no parking permits to purchase. Parking on campus will be expensive. It is recommended that you park off campus. The ideal place to park is indicated by the long green rectangular strip on the map below. The white arrows on the map point to University of Ulsan's International Hall from the off campus parking area.

Q: Will any part of the conference be available online?

A: To be decided

Q: Since the symposium is an all day event, will you be serving lunch?

A: No, lunch is not included with your fee. There are a good number of places to eat that are close to the campus and offer meals in a variety of price ranges.

Q: Can I present for your symposium this year?

A: Sorry, we are no longer seeking presenters.

KOTESOL Membership Questions

Q: Does paying for the symposium make me a member of KOTESOL?

A: No, the registration fee for the symposium is for the event alone. Current members of KOTESOL must pay a registration fee of 5,000 won. Non-members of KOTESOL must pay a registration fee of 10,000 won. To find out how much it costs to become an official member of KOTESOL please use this link. You will be navigated away from the symposium's website to KOTESOL's main website when you click on the link 

Q: I think I'm a member of KOTESOL, but I can't remember when my membership expires. How can I find out the current state my KOTESOL membership status?

A: First, you must navigate away from the symposium site and go to the KOTESOL website. Then, log in to check the expiration date of your membership. After logging in, you will find the expiration date of your membership in the column on the right-hand side of your screen.

Q: How can I become a member of KOTESOL? How can I be a member of Busan-Gyeongnam Chapter?

A: To become a member, you first must navigate away from the symposium site and go to the KOTESOL website. Then, follow the instructions on that page. The final step is to pay your dues. To become a member of Busan-Gyeongnam choose our chapter when you register as a member. We would love to have you.

Payment

Q: Do you accept payments via credit card or PayPal for the symposium?

A: No, we don't. In the time leading up to the symposium, we will only accept bank transfers. On the day of the actual symposium we will accept cash and bank transfers. For bank transfers, please send your payment to Hana Bank 501-910483-61707. The name attached to the account is our Treasurer, Jones Daniel Earl.

Q: How will I know if you got my payment to attend the symposium?

A: You will be emailed a receipt from BGKOTESOL@gmail.com
