Students will use the materials in the briefing provided by the Seismic Monitoring Initiative to locate the strange source of seismic waves.
Adding and subtracting vectors
Calculating acceleration, velocity, speed, distance and time
Interpreting graphs
The teacher should give students a printed out copy of the briefing packet above, a cut out authorization disk, a protractor and access to the link.Â
It is envisioned that students will complete Games 1 and 2 before beginning this game, but it is not required. For advanced students or because of time constraints a teacher may choose to just have students complete Game 3. Games 1 and 2 are designed to give students the background they will need to find success in Game 3.
