9:30-10:30am "Advance Social Justice in Online Research Assignments with the Library"
Facilitator: Matthew Chase, Librarian, Cuyamaca College
Description: This session will cover how the library can support online research assignments to engage students in equity- and justice-centered research skills. We will discuss the various ways that the library’s instructional support services can be tailored and scaled to course-specific projects and learning experiences. This support can range from librarian-led workshops on students’ intersectional research skills, library collections and resources addressing topics of diversity and inclusion, and other innovative opportunities for instructor-librarian partnerships in online courses.

10:45-11:45am Student-Centered Teaching with Chat AI
Facilitator: Adelle Roe
Description: In this session, we will focus on how Chat GPT can help us quickly design student-centered lesson plans, assignments, and assessments. During the first half of the session, we will cover general tips and tricks for effective prompting in order to generate the best possible output. During the second half of the session, we will craft an assignment in real time using what we've learned.

Description: The main session will provide an overview of where and how you can use video to promote equity in your classes. Then, participants will have a choice of 3 breakout sessions, including Canvas Studio basics, advanced editing in Studio, and bumper videos (unit/module overview, wrap-up video, demystifying sticky topics, etc).
