Travel
If you are flying to Madrid, you can take the train line C-10 from Terminal 4 to Atocha. This takes 29 mins. There are intermediate stops in Chamartín (15 mins) and Nuevos Ministerios (22 mins). There are regular buses between the different terminals. You can also take the usually faster option of bus or taxi directly outside your terminal to Atocha or even directly to UAM/ICMAT.
From Madrid City Centre, there are regular trains (Cercanías Madrid) to UAM/ICMAT. Due to improvement works on the suburban train network, you have to change trains at Chamartín railway station. Once there, line C-4 (with either end station Colmenar Viejo or Alcobendas S. S. de los Reyes) will take you to the train stop Cantoblanco, from which you can walk the rest of the way. The trip from Chamartín to Cantoblanco takes only 10 mins.
