Affiliation: Drug Application and Research Center, Erciyes University, Kayseri, Turkey; Erciyes University Halil Bayraktar Health Services Vocational College, Kayseri Turkey

Research Area: Her research areas are focus on phytochemistry and biological activity of medicinal plants, with specific interest on wild plant from Turkey. She also investigate in the fields of natural inhibitors of enzymes associated with global health problems (Diabetes and Alzheimer’s etc.). She has over 50 published articles in SCI journals about medicinal plants.

Caio Pinho Fernandes 

Title: Associate Professor

Affiliation: Department of Biological and Health Sciences – in the Universidade Federal do Amapá (UNIFAP)

Research Area: bioactive herbal nano-emulsion; formation of nano-emulsions prepared with oils from herbal sourcers rich in secondary metabolites;  His research area involves phytopharmaceutical nanobiotechnology and area of currently interest are mainly related to essential oils, triterpenes, flavonoids, nano-emulsions and nanodispersions.

Omayma A. Eldahshan

Affiliation: Pharmacognosy Department, Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt

Research Area:

§ Isolation and structural elucidation of flavonoids, phenolics, saponin, and coumarins from their natural sources (medicinal plants) by using sophisticated techniques.

§ Drug discovery: Anti-inflammatory, antihypertensive, antioxidant, hepatoprotective, neuroprotective, and cytotoxic agents from natural products following bioactivity-directed fractionation of medicinal plants.

§ Analysis of essential oils.

David Pereira

Title: Assistant Professor

Affiliation:  University of Porto, Faculty of Pharmacy, Portugal

Research area: I am interested in the characterization of natural samples both from terrestrial and marine sources. I focus on the discovery of small bioactive molecules with potential use towards cancer, inflammation and proteostasis. Increasingly interested in data science!
