Period: before you get NHI

From the 180 days of your stay in Taiwan, NHI will be officially valid and covered by the entire duration of the program.

e.g., Severe injury and surgery 

NHI Card

You will be registered in National Health Insurance  (NHI) program when the actual residency period of 6 months (180 days) is reached after the days abroad have been deducted.

Theoretically, you will get your NHI card 180 days after the day you arrived Taiwan. However, if you go abroad during the 180 days, your reception day of NHI card will be delayed as many days as your travelling days.

NOTE //

Your counted days will be RESET if you:

i./ going abroad for 30 days and above

ii./ going abroad for 2 times and above

Campus Counseling Service

The Counseling Center provides services including short-term individual counseling, group counseling, testing and assessment, crisis intervention, and referral services. It also provides outreach programming and consultation for faculty, staff, and family and friends of NTHU students. Short-term therapy can be provided for a variety of presenting issues, including life adjustment, academic or career development, relationships, or stress-related issues. Concerns that require ongoing or long-term treatment are best served through referral to one of the many qualified community providers in Hsin-Chu City.
