Aerospace Engineering

Aerospace Engineering involves the creation of machines, such as spacecraft, satellites, and missiles. This field is divided into two main branches: aeronautical and astronautical engineering. Aerospace engineers develop products for multiple purposes including space exploration and defense systems.

Chemical Engineering

Chemical Engineering involves the manufacture of products through chemical processes. Chemical engineers apply their principle knowledge in chemistry, biology, physics, and mathematics to solve problems regarding food, drug, and fuel products. They are involved in the refinement of petroleum, improvement of food processing techniques, and the mass production of pharmaceuticals.

Mechanical Engineering

This field of engineering deals with the designing, development, and manufacturing of various mechanical devices and tools such as electric generators, engines, turbines, as well as power-using machines such as air-conditioners.

Industrial Engineering

Industrial Engineering focuses on improving the basic processes. Industrial engineers work in consulting services, communications, healthcare as well as in manufacturing industries. They are the bridge between operational performance and management goals.

Summary

During this project, we realized that each of these fields of engineering are interconnected. They all help contribute to the final production of the most efficient rocket. Industrial engineers and mechanical engineers would help in the development and improvement of basic segments of the rocket. Aerospace engineers would help in the manufacture of the device, while chemical engineers would help with the design of the carbon dioxide capture device.
