Design Process

Course

  • We designed the course to resemble a building after a disaster, utilizing different objects that could be in a real building to create blockades that our ultrasonic sensor would detect and avoid.

Design

  • We weren't able to design our own robot, so we decided to use the BuggyBot because it was small and had plenty of sensors for us to chose from. Its versatility allowed us to easily develop a course and blockades that it could detect with the ultrasonic sensors.

Research Paper

  • We began by researching about the modern robots that help during disaster relief to find information about which sensors could be useful and how our course should look.

  • We split the paper into 4 sections, and we each wrote one of them. This approach worked great as we each contributed equally with the research and the writing.

Web Portfolio

  • We split up the pages into definitions and summaries, design process, and code and videos. We all worked equally to complete these pages.
