Research Papers

Research Feedback

Fellows will share a rough draft (no more than 8,000 words) of their research papers with co-leaders prior to the start of the virtual program. Co-leaders will review and provide written feedback (1-2 pages in length, of the quality expected in response to a journal submission) in advance of the virtual program so that each fellows receives feedback from two co-leaders. Please note that draft research papers are made available among this closed group with the understanding that they are not to be shared, referenced, or quoted from without prior consent of the author.

Fellows are encouraged to read the draft papers of everyone in their discussion group in order to become familiar with everyone's work and to facilitate connections across fellows and between the readings and fellows' research.

Peer Reviews

After the virtual program, fellows will be invited to participate in a peer review process to receive additional feedback on their research papers. Revised papers will be submitted in March, and fellows will be given 3 weeks to write a written review for someone else. This peer review component is optional.

Your feedback should be structured as a 1-2 page written review similar to what you would receive in response to a journal submission. It may be helpful to review this text on “How to be a Peer Reviewer" and this list of "Tips for Reviewing."
