The 2019 Party was hosted on a 9-acre farm with a pool, basketball court, plenty of space for yard games, party tents, camping, and hanging out. Each day there was flexibility to choose from organized activities and excursions during the day. Then there were organized gatherings with different themes beginning at 3pm each day.
Day 1 featured a parade around the neighborhood. Participants marched by state, with 15 states, the District of Columbia and the European Union represented. There was a trailer with hay bales for the kids and antique cars mixed in with the marchers.
Day 2 featured a variety show complete with martial arts demonstration, interpretive dance, rapping, skits, jokes, and original songs.
On Day 3 the treasure hunt was interrupted by a thunderstorm, sending participants running for cover and forcing some party heroes to keep the grills going through the downpour. Still, there was time for some of the pieces of the hunt to happen before the rain.
There was also a fireworks show, singalong, morning exercise, beach outing, campfires and a trip to the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad National Historic Park.
