FORMAT
7 round Swiss pairing system.
Two divisions: Primary and Secondary, run as 2 separate events simultaneously.
Players from the same school cannot play each other.
School scores are determined by adding up the scores of the top four players from each school.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
There is no limit on how many students may represent a school!
There is no limit on how many SCL Zone events you may participate in!
ELIGIBILITY
As this is an interschool event, no CAWA membership is required.
All participants must be enrolled at a WA Primary or Secondary education institution.
(Exceptions may be made for home schooled students. Please contact the tournament organiser for more information.)
Participants may register individually, or via their school chess coordinator.
TIME CONTROL
20 minutes + 3 second increment
Participants who are inexperienced with chess timers can arrive at the venue early to practice!

PRIZES
Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each division.
Trophies for the top 4 scoring players from the schools coming 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each division.
School trophy awarded for the winning school in each division.
The top two schools in each division automatically qualify for the SCL Finals!
TITLES
The top scoring primary school to be awarded WA SCL East Zone Primary Champions.
The top scoring secondary school to be awarded WA SCL East Zone Secondary Champions.

Note: CAWA does not accept EFTPOS payments.
Schools that wish to pay for the registration of their players should choose Option B and email their team list to cawaschoolchessleague@gmail.com.
In your email, please specify how you wish to handle the payment process. It can be made via cash on the day, bank transfer, or a direct invoice the school.
