2018 WEBIT & WMEA Annual Convention

Where the three rivers meet, La Crosse serves as the location for the annual WEBIT & WMEA convention. Located at the Lunda Center on Western Technical Campus, attendees will gather for a fast-paced two-day event.

In addition to over 40 educational sessions, you will find information on special skills, ways to innovate your courses, promote your programs and so much more. Keynote speakers, exhibitor booths and sessions, and networking opportunities will give you the ability to explore new ideas, re-energize old courses, and navigate ways to engage your students.

REGISTRATION

Registration is available on the WEBIT website at https://webit.wildapricot.org. The early registration deadline is Monday, September 17 (registration must be marked by this date). Registrations received after September 17 will be processed at the full registration amount. Registrations MUST be paid prior to the start of the convention. $25 processing fee will be charged for registrations cancelled on or before September 17; after that date, no refunds will be made. All requests for refunds from cancellations must be submitted in writing to WEBIT by September 17. There will be NO exceptions to the cancellation policy.

Registration will be open on Thursday, October 4, from 7:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 1:30-4:00 p.m.; Friday, October 5, from 7:15 a.m.-9:45 a.m. Registration packets will be available during registration hours.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Room rates are $119 single and $129 double occupancy. Rates are subject to additional fees and taxes. Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis and are subject to availability. Hotel block at the Radisson Inn will be let go on Monday, September 24 after that time regular rates will apply.

He is a global innovation training facilitator and the founder ofInnovationLearning.org. Darin’s passion involves helping people to become themselves, find and live their strengths, and become more creative, innovative, and successful leaders.

General Session Speaker Friday, October 5

Andrea Gribble is passionate about helping your school broadcast your story to the world. Celebrating students and staff is the best “job” in the world! After working with her daughter’s school district, she learned that many schools lack the time and expertise to feel comfortable with social media. #SocialSchool4EDU was born from Andrea’s desire to help other schools do the same.

Andrea and her team manage social media for more than 50 districts across the country and has trained over 1,000 schools. Andrea holds a MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and is a frequent speaker at educational conferences on the topic of social media.
