The project for the workshop will be a 12x14 Dutch style frame. A characteristic of this style of frame is the close spacing of the bents. This allows smaller and lighter timbers to be used (which also means reduced effort to cut the joints). The close spacing also allows 2x tongue and groove flooring/roofing to be laid without additional support structure.
The class will work to build the 5 bents but if time permits the rafters and sills (with joists) will be cut.
As an attendee, you will receive a printed set of 11"x17" dimensioned construction/shop drawings without additional fee. A set of SketchUp CAD drawings (on which the drawings are based) will be available for an extra fee.
