A Timber Frame Workshop will be taught by Jim Rogers and is suitable for the beginner and experienced timber framer alike . Jim is a respected timber frame designer and a knowledgeable teacher of the craft. He is a member of the Timber Framer's Guild and a moderator on the Forestry Forum.
Kevin Pauba is hosting a workshop with Jim as a 3-day or 5-day event. The focus of the workshop is to teach square rule layout and cutting of the basic and common joinery found in a Timber Frame structure. A small 12x14 Dutch-style frame is this year's project. We will "fit up" bents and, if all goes well, it'll be raised on-site. Each attendee will receive a printed set of 11"x17" dimensioned construction/shop drawings without additional fee.
Lunch and snacks will be provided each day.
Any extra funds (after meeting expense obligations) will be donated to the Forestry Forum.
Space is limited. A deposit of $150 will reserve you a spot.
