In this workshop, we aim to create an intimate environment to facilitate an exchanging of ideas among faculty, PhD students, postdocs, and Google researchers. We’d like for this workshop to deepen our ties to the academic research community, which includes developing ideas for future focused research grants.

About 20 faculty and roughly an equal number of Google researchers. We plan to invite a moderate number of graduate students and postdoctoral researchers, especially those who would benefit from meeting with other experienced faculty members and researchers, and who are likely to contribute to unstructured discussions.
