North Carolina Senator Thom Tillis was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2014 and has established himself as a leading voice for bipartisan immigration reforms and a staunch defender of North Carolina small businesses that depend on seasonal workers to survive and support American jobs. He believes both parties can work together in order to secure the border, address the status of the undocumented population, and support commonsense reforms to the nation’s legal immigration. In March, he introduced the Save our Small and Seasonal Businesses Act of 2017 with Angus King (I-ME), bipartisan legislation that makes substantive reforms aimed to help seasonal employers better navigate the H-2B temporary non-agricultural visa program. Senator Tillis is a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee and is the Deputy Chair of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Border Security and Immigration.
