"Philosophical Reflections on Ethics in Teaching and Teacher Education"
Dr. Janet Orchard is an Associate Professor of Philosophy and Religion in Teacher Education and Director of Postgraduate Research at the School of Education, University of Bristol. She is a philosopher of education taking a comparative interest in relationships between philosophy, religion, and teacher education. She is a Trustee of the Journal of Moral Education Trust (JMET) and supports the Association of Moral Education and Asian Pacific Network of Moral Education in that capacity. Regarding her interests in religious education, she is an Executive member of AULRE (the Association of University Lecturers in Religion and Education) and the International Seminar on Religious Education and Values (ISREV) and serves on the editorial board of the British Journal of Religious Education (BJRE). She is co-editor of Professional Reflection, the journal for teachers of religious education in Wales and England.

Fr. Francis D. Alvarez, S.J. is the Chair of the GBSEALD Department of Catholic Education Philosophy and Practice at the Ateneo de Manila University, and he is concurrently an Associate Professor of Biblical Theology and Religious Education at the Loyola School of Theology. He completed his PhD in Theology and Education at Boston College, and he also has degrees in theology and philosophy from the Boston College School of Theology and Ministry, the Loyola School of Theology, and Ateneo de Manila University. He co-edited the book Christianity in East and Southeast Asia, published by Edinburgh University Press, and he is a much sought after homilist and retreat director.
