He is currently an adjunct professor at the Museu Nacional - Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Graduated in Biological Sciences (UEPG/2012), Master's Degree in Geography (UEPG/2015) and Ph.D. in Geology (UNISINOS/2018). He acted as adjunct professor at Federal University of Uberlândia from 2019 to 2022, coordinating the Laboratório de Paleontologia Estratigráfica.
His research focuses mostly in invertebrate ichnology, with studies also on Taphonomy and paleoinvertebrates, mainly from Devonian.
Participates as vice coordinator of the CNPq research group "Ichnos - Unisinos" and as collaborator of the CNPq research groups: "Palaios - UEPG", "Análise de Bacias Sedimentares - UNESP" and "Paleoinvertebrados do Fanerozoico da América do Sul e Antártica - UFRJ". Professor at the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP - Bauru, SP) where he teaches Geology, Paleontology and Fundamentals of Human Sciences. Head of Laboratory at LAPALMA since 2007 where he carries out his research lines in Macroinvertebrate Paleontology. Graduated in Biological Sciences, Modality Bachelor's Degree from the São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP/Botucatu 1995), Master's Degree in Geosciences (Sedimentary Geology) from the University of São Paulo (USP 1999) and Ph.D. in Geosciences (Sedimentary Geology) from the University of São Paulo (USP 2004). Graduated in Philosophy at Unifran in 2016. He has a lato sensu postgraduate degree in Thanatology. He is a professor in the postgraduate course in Biodiversity at Unesp Assis/Bauru and in the Biodiversity of Coastal Environments at Unesp-São Vicente, where he teaches Taphonomy and Geomorphology as a tool in paleoenvironmental interpretations. Participates as coordinator of the CNPq research group "Palaios" and as a collaborator of the CNPq research group "Paleontologia do MS" and "Actuopaleontology and Macroevolution of Paleoinvertebrates Research Group". Dr. Rodrigo Scalise Horodyski
Researcher and professor of the Postgraduate Program in Geology at the University of Vale do Rio dos Sinos (São Leopoldo-RS) (PPGEO-UNISINOS). Coordinator of the Bachelor of Geology at UNISINOS. Curator of the Museum of Geological History of Rio Grande do Sul - MHGEO - UNISINOS. He holds a Masters in Geosciences (Paleontology-Taphonomy) and a Ph.D. in Sciences (Paleontology-Taphonomy) from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. Corresponding member in Brazil of the International Subcommission on Devonian Stratigraphy of the ICM - International Commission on Stratigraphy. Member of the Editorial Board of the "Journal of the Geological Survey of Brazil - JGSB". He is a researcher at the ICHNOS Group and GEOARQ - CNPq at the University of Vale do Rio dos Sinos (UNISINOS) working on projects aimed at Applied Paleontology (Taphonomy) and Stratigraphy. Researches in Ediacaran and Phanerozoic sedimentary successions (America, Antarctica and Africa), especially in the Silurian, Devonian, Carboniferous, Permian, Triassic, Jurassic, Cretaceous and Cenozoic. Develops Taphonomic analyzes applied to empirical marine environments and paleoenvironmental reconstructions. It also carries out studies on extinction events and their relationship with Taphonomy. He is a researcher at the Conservation Paleobiology Research Group CNPq- working on Conservation Paleobiology, modern extinctions and "Anthropocene" biotic/environmental changes. He teaches General Taphonomy and Taphofacies Analysis in the Applied Paleontology Line at PPGEO-UNISINOS. Organizer of the book "Taphonomy: Methods, Concepts and Applications".
Ms. Victor Rodrigues Ribeiro
Graduated in Geology in the Federal University of Mato Grosso (2017) with an exchange period at Humboldt State University (2014) and Arizona State University (2014). Master's Degree in Biosciences from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho UNESP Assis/Bauru (2019) with an emphasis on Paleobiogeography. He is currently part of the Postgraduate Program at UNESP Assis/Bauru in Characterization and Application of Biological Diversity, where he continues to develop projects related to Devonian fossils from South America, with a focus on paleoinvertebrates. He has experience in the field of Geosciences, with an emphasis on Sedimentology, Stratigraphy and Paleontology.
