Mechanics

1. Preparation

   • Each student will access the "Sort Me Out!" game via the provided link or platform.

   • Ensure students are familiar with the concepts of homogeneous and heterogeneous mixtures before starting the activity.

2. Gameplay Instructions

   • The game will display a series of mixtures.

   • Students will drag and drop each mixture into one of two categories:

     • Homogeneous Mixture

     • Heterogeneous Mixture

   • They must complete the sorting activity as quickly as possible while aiming for accuracy.

3. Scoring

   • Time-Based Scoring- Students are timed from the moment the game starts. Faster completion earns a higher time score.

   • Accuracy Scoring- Each correct answer adds points, while incorrect answers may deduct points or result in a penalty (e.g., additional time added).

4. Leaderboard

   • At the end of the activity, a leaderboard will display the rankings based on two factors:

     • Completion Time- Shorter times rank higher.

     • Correct Answers- Accuracy is prioritized—students with more correct answers rank higher even if their time is slower.

   • Final scores are calculated by combining time and accuracy.

5. Rules

   • No external help is allowed during the activity.

   • Students must complete the game in one session. Restarting the activity will reset their score.

6. Recognition

   • Celebrate top performers by acknowledging the top three students on the leaderboard.

   • Participation certificates or small rewards can be given to everyone to encourage involvement.
