God is Near Us
26From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. 27God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.

Seek the LORD and You Will Find Him

For us to find God, we must seek Him...There are several Bible verses that tell us to seek the LORD...If we have have too much pride (and a little pride goes a long way), we do not have room for Him...Those who are prideful and wicked, believe in the majesty of man, and man's pleasures and material things...The prideful will not find Him...We must be humble, when we seek the LORD...
We must use our hearts to find Him...For God is Love...We, also, are never told that everyone will find Him...Pascal says that God gives those just enough light to those who seek Him to find Him, but not quite enough light to those who are not looking for Him with their hearts -and they will not find Him...Lovers will find Him, non-lovers won't...Moses says in Deuteronomy the first we must seek Him, and secondly we must use our hearts to find Him...In Chronicles, the author writes that we should devote both our hearts and our souls to seeking the LORD...King David tells his son, Solomon, later in Chronicles that if you are devoted and have a willing mind, the LORD searches the seeking heart and understands every single motive behind our thoughts...And if we seek Him, He will be found, but if we forsake Him, He will reject us...St. Paul says that God is always near us and around us, so that man will seek Him and perhaps reach out to Him, and find Him...God gives each man life and breath and knows where we will inhabit the earth and the exact time we will be on earth and the exact place we will even live and be...And by being this close to us, the we will perhaps feel Him and seek Him, for He actually is that near (to us)...Even Isaiah teaches us to seek the LORD, while He can be found...The Holy Spirit that He puts in us, allows this nearness and Him to be found in our love...
And as St. Paul explains, even though He is always very near, we often do not feel these things or Him...There is a sense, that even though we are created in His image, and in the image of Love, we do not feel the LORD's presence with us, some or much of the time...I think He hides behind my/our constant desires, my constant struggle with the pleasure of material things, and the things on this earth, the earthly treasures, that I work to get...I sometimes forget about the eternities, and His treasures -His eternal treasures...I have placed obstacles earthly objects in front of Him, and He is hiding behind them...If I somehow could completely devote my heart and soul to Him, and take away the earthly-fleshy wants and desires, there He is...
The greatest thing is that, if we learn to seek God with our hearts, He allows us to find Him...And as we draw close to Him, we must believe that He exists...This is called faith...Call Him humbly, while and when you feel He is near to you...When He is near, He can be found...Do not let these opportunities get away from feeling His presence, when you feel this nearness, and mystique of His...We must continue to seek Him, because our pride, our sins, and the earthly things (continue to) get in our way, and we cannot see Him through these things...
